The Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic Café Supervisor to assist in the day-to-day running of the Crafty Cuppa Café at Crafter's Companion, Evesham. You'll be responsible for creating a welcoming, well-organised café where customers love to visit. You'll lead & support the team, and make sure everything runs smoothly — from great service to strong standards and smart stock control.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the café, ensuring high standards of service at all times.
* Leading, motivating and supporting the café team, including training, and performance management.
* Managing opening and closing procedures and ensuring smooth handovers.
* Working with the store manager to manage holiday requests, and ensuring appropriate cover for shifts is in place.
* Taking responsibility for cash handling, daily takings, and ensuring accurate financial procedures.
* Ensuring excellent customer experience, handling any escalated issues or complaints professionally.
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety across the café.
* Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and keeping waste to a minimum.
* Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed and that any incidents or hazards are reported and recorded.
* Working closely with senior management to meet targets and improve café performance.
* Looking for ways to improve service, efficiency, and team morale.
Qualifications
* Previous experience within hospitality is essential.
* Food hygiene and safety certification is desirable (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience with stock control and cash handling is preferred.
