Head of Financial Control | Professional Services | Hybrid Bristol and London

A leading international professional services firm is looking for a Head of Financial Control to join its growing finance leadership team and the role reports directly to the CFO. This is a pivotal role with global scope and direct influence over financial processes, reporting, compliance, and team development across multiple jurisdictions.
As the firm undergoes an exciting transformation, you’ll play a key role in enhancing the maturity and efficiency of core finance functions – from financial reporting and cash flow management to billing, payroll, and regulatory compliance. The role is offered on a hybrid work model with te average of 1 day a week in Bristol and then 1 day the next week in London.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Lead and develop a global financial control team of 20 + employees across management accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and cashiering.
* Deliver timely, accurate internal and external reporting, including statutory financial statements.
* Oversee regulatory and audit compliance, including the annual audit process.
* Drive the development of cash flow forecasting, scenario modelling, and reconciliation processes.
* Collaborate with leadership to embed best practice across billing, collections, and broader finance operations.
* Contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives across the business.
What We're Looking For:
* Must have LLP accouting experience from a complex, multi-entity partnership organisation
* Qualified accountant (ICAEW/ACCA) with deep technical accounting knowledge.
* Proven experience leading financial controls team through organisational change
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
* The ability to travel to Bristol and London once a week
