Volunteer Role: Coffee Morning Support
Location: The Scunthorpe office, close to the train station.
We support adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health in our services around Scunthorpe.
We are establishing a fortnightly coffee morning at our Scunthorpe office, attended by our Service Users. We seek volunteers to assist staff in setting up, running, and tidying up after the event.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Setting up the room, moving tables and chairs, ensuring accessibility for wheelchair users.
2. Circulating during the event, engaging with Service Users, and ensuring a lively atmosphere with music.
3. Preparing and serving tea and coffee.
4. Cleaning up after the event, including tidying away tables, chairs, and washing up.
We provide training, access to a volunteer supervisor, an induction, a monthly newsletter, and an online support group via Zoom.
To discuss volunteering opportunities, contact our Volunteer Department at 0161 236 0829 or email [emailprotected].
We are an inclusive, anti-racist organisation that values diversity. We welcome applications from all backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities and members of the LGBT+ community, as we are a Disability Confident Employer and a Stonewall Diversity Champion.
