Overview
Manufacturing Project Manager role at Leonardo. Location: Luton, United Kingdom (GB - Luton - Cap. Green 300). The role is within the S&PT (Surveillance and Protection Technology) IPT (Integrated Project Team) and involves ownership of products within Operations. The position covers all aspects of Product and Project Management including management of manufacturing hardware to stock, input to funding and roadmap governance, contract reviews, Risk Management, Lifecycle Management, and Financial Management.
Responsibilities
* Manage and plan all manufacturing activities required for successful delivery.
* Identify and manage product dependencies.
* Lead product risk and opportunity management.
* Achieve product delivery to schedule, cost and quality targets.
* Lead manufacturing input into bid activities for new business.
* Manage internal and external stakeholders / customer relationships.
* Provide internal reporting to the IPT Lead and/or Sector VP.
* Present product status at Sector and Line of Business performance reviews.
* Ensure adherence to the company’s Lifecycle Management (LCM) as required and tailored to specific needs.
* Collaborate with Capability Managers to help define Product Roadmaps.
* Liaise with functional groups to ensure projects are appropriately resourced for successful execution.
* Accountability for contract and project milestone delivery.
What You Will Bring
* Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams (including Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Planning, Manufacturing and Operations).
* Experience with complex programmes, preferably in an Aerospace/Defence environment.
* Ability to operate with multiple senior stakeholders and strong customer relationship skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in all aspects of project planning, scheduling, work package management, sub-contract management and cost control.
* Degree qualified or equivalent, preferably in an Engineering discipline.
