A growing and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor (NQ – 5 years’ PQE) to join its expanding team based in Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor to further develop their expertise within a supportive, collaborative, and client-focused environment. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with appropriate supervision while working alongside experienced practitioners on a range of complex and sensitive matters.
The Role
You will handle a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims, supporting clients through complex legal matters while working to secure the best possible outcomes and rehabilitation support.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of clinical negligence matters from instruction through to resolution
* Reviewing medical records and preparing case chronologies
* Instructing and liaising with medical experts and counsel
* Assessing breach of duty and causation issues
* Drafting legal documents including letters of claim, witness statements, and schedules of loss
* Advising clients throughout the claims process with empathy and professionalism
* Negotiating settlements and pursuing interim payments where appropriate
* Attending conferences, mediations, and court hearings as required
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
* Supporting wider team and business development initiatives where appropriate
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
* Between Newly Qualified and 5 years’ PQE
* Experience within clinical negligence or personal injury litigation
* Strong organisational and case management skills
* Excellent communication and client-care abilities
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
* Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable clients through sensitive claims
