Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our health and safety protocols within Heathrow Airport and construction sites in and around London. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, and foster a culture of safety awareness among all employees.
This role requires attention to detail and effective communication with clients and all levels of our organization.
Duties
* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements.
* Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis.
* Prepare reports on health and safety performance with recommendations for improvements.
* Provide training and guidance on health and safety practices, including first aid.
* Monitor compliance through audits and inspections.
* Collaborate with management to promote proactive safety measures.
* Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and best practices.
* Work airside within Heathrow Airport (DBS Checks with 5 Years work history required).
Requirements
* Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably in civils.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent report writing and communication skills.
* Proficiency in risk assessments and control measures.
* First aid certification is highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership.
* Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work within a 24/7 reactive business environment.
* Understanding of transport management (FORES, etc.).
* Maintain ISO and other certifications updates.
* Support environmental compliance.
