Directorate: People Children Pay Level: 7 £41,873 - £47,238 inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance Contract Type: 6 months Secondment Working Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Observatory House/Slough/Hybrid DBS requirement: Enhanced The closing date for applications is midnight on 15th January 2026 Interviews will be held week commencing 26th January 2026 What you’ll be doing: We’re looking for an experienced, motivated professional to help manage statutory school admissions and lead a high-performing team that delivers a timely, high-quality service to families, schools, and partners. You’ll support the Admissions and Transport Manager, oversee in-year admissions, manage staff, ensure compliance with the School Admissions Code, and represent the authority at appeal hearings. You’ll also play a vital role in safeguarding children without a school place and working with partners to support those who are hard to place. Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director.
