We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Riverside Vets in Edinburgh. Offering a competitive salary of up to £60k (depending on experience), along with a comprehensive benefits package, this full-time, permanent position offers 40 hours per week, spread over four days.
The role…
We are looking for a passionate vet to join our team, especially one with a bias towards medicine. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative environment where our vets regularly discuss cases and work together on clinical and quality improvements. With top-level equipment and a strong nursing team to support you, we are committed to providing exceptional care.
Our advanced clinical skills network team works alongside us, and we have a strong focus on rehabilitation. You'll have the opportunity to manage your own patients in-house, with a dedicated overnight Registered Veterinary Nurse and inpatient vet on-site. While a certificate holder would be ideal, we're more than happy to support further certificate work to help you develop your skills.
Why us?
You'll be joining a practice with state-of-the-art equipment to assess, assist, and treat clients' pets where necessary, ensuring we provide a consistently excellent standard of care to pets whenever they visit.
You will enjoy working with a forward-thinking clinical team of Vets, Nurses, Receptionists, and Patient Care Assistants to continue helping the practice grow and drive clinical excellence.
As part of CVS, you'll be entitled to a wealth of benefits including CPD support and access to our knowledge hub, allowing you to stay up to date with new developments through continuous professional development.
Salary and Hours:
The salary is up to £60,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours a week over 4 days with a set day off per week. You will work 1 in 3 Saturdays along with one late inpatient shift.
Our practice opening hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 18:30 and Saturdays 08:30 to 16:30.
Our rewards package includes:
* Dedicated CPD support and access to a suite of internal courses developed by our in-house learning & development team of Vets and Nurses
* Free Knowledge Hub offering over 260 courses and 235 webinars covering a variety of clinical and non-clinical topics
