Orka Financial is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their clients finance team based in Basingstoke a leading financial services business. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is confident working across all areas of transactional finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance operations following accounting regulations This role would suit an individual currently studying towards or fully qualified in AAT, looking to continue developing within a busy finance environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies Manage the Accounts Payable function: processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs, and handling supplier queries Raising sales invoices, credit control, and allocating payments Assist with month-end processes, including journal postings and reconciliations Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed Support the wider finance with ad hoc finance tasks and reporting Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role Strong understanding of finance processes Proficient in bank reconciliations and general ledger work Experience using accounting software (SAP) Good Excel skills and attention to detail A proactive and flexible approach to work Qualifications: Studying towards or fully qualified in AAT (or equivalent) Please apply now for further details to alison@orkafinancial.com or call 07708 912000
