Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bury, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in SEN support, particularly with ASC, to join a nurturing school environment via supply.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with ASC, helping them access the curriculum and daily routines.
* Implement strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials and activities.
* Monitor and record progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and support plans.
* Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
* Support transitions and social interactions throughout the school day.
* Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals where appropriate.

Requirements:
* Experience working with children with ASC or other SEN.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEN training) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
