About the School

A welcoming, inclusive, and community-focused primary school in Nottingham is seeking a passionate and nurturing Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team. The school is committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where children can thrive from their very first day of school.

The school’s Early Years provision is highly regarded, with well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning environments that promote curiosity, independence, and positive social interaction. Leadership is supportive, approachable, and focused on staff development, fostering a collaborative culture where Early Years practitioners are valued and empowered.

Children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop a love of learning from the outset. The school values play-based learning, early literacy, and numeracy, and ensures a smooth transition from home or nursery into school life.

About the Role

As the Reception Teacher, you will take responsibility for planning and delivering a rich, play-based curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will work with children aged 4–5, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development during this crucial first year of formal education.

You will be expected to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment, supporting children’s independence, confidence, and curiosity. Working closely with teaching assistants, Early Years colleagues, and parents, you will ensure that all children are supported to reach their full potential.

This role is ideal for an experienced EYFS teacher or an Early Career Teacher with a strong understanding of early childhood development and a passion for inclusive practice.
