Apprentice HR Advisor

This isn’t a role just for people with a traditional HR background. In fact, we actively welcome applicants from outside HR and those already working in HR who want to broaden their experience.
If you’ve got curiosity, commercial awareness, emotional intelligence and the confidence to work with people, we want to hear from you.
Whether you’ve worked in retail, operations, customer service, project delivery, policing, hospitality, another HR discipline (e.g. recruitment, L&D, payroll, HR admin), or anywhere people and decisions come together – your experience could be exactly what we need.
About the role
This is a structured 12‑month trainee programme where you’ll:
* Learn how to advise managers on real people issues
* Work alongside experienced HR professionals on complex and sensitive cases
* Build your confidence in influencing, problem‑solving and decision‑making
* Complete a formal HR apprenticeship alongside your role
* Gain the skills, knowledge and behaviours to become a fully‑fledged HR Advisor
On successful completion, you will progress into a substantive Band E HR Advisor role.
This role is about learning by doing – you’ll be trusted early, supported properly, and developed quickly.
