Hospital Manager | Health & Social Care | 12-Month Maternity Cover
Location | Full-Time, Permanent | £56,000 – £61,500 per annum (DOE) + enhanced annual leave
Tide Partnership is proud to be supporting a leading health and social care charity to recruit a Hospital Manager for a 12-month maternity cover position. This is an opportunity to lead a specialist rehabilitation hospital that supports people living with acquired brain injuries to regain skills, independence, and quality of life.
This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare leader with a clinical background who thrives in managing multidisciplinary teams, driving high-quality care standards, and shaping service growth and development.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional, person-centred neurorehabilitation care.
* Overseeing operational, clinical, and financial performance, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Driving quality improvement initiatives through robust governance and auditing processes.
* Managing recruitment, retention, and development of staff to maintain a motivated and high-performing workforce.
* Developing and implementing a local business development plan to engage commissioners and referrers.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide visible leadership and hands-on operational support.
* Set and monitor budgets, ensuring financial accountability.
* Oversee recruitment, induction, and performance management processes.
* Lead on investigations, disciplinary and grievance hearings when required.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships with service users, families, referrers, and commissioners.
* Drive continuous improvement through quality audits, risk management, and governance frameworks.
* Ensure safe, compliant, and well-maintained environments, equipment, and facilities.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Current clinical qualification with active PIN and no restrictions to practice
* Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
* Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and governance in a health or social care setting
* Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality care outcomes
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Flexibility to work unsociable hours as required
Travel Requirements
The role is based in York and may require occasional travel for meetings, training, or external events.
