As Care Home Clinical Deputy Manager at Harbour Healthcare, you'll support the delivery of the quality care we're known for. Working closely with the Home Manager and taking on leadership duties in their absence, you can expect to help with everything from ensuring care standards to motivating your team. You'll inspire the team to ensure residents enjoy the best possible quality of life by leading by example, monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and regulatory compliance checks. You'll set high standards and develop strategies to help achieve your goals.
ABOUT YOU
To join us as a Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead, you'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and mentoring/supervision experience. Experience in supporting residents with various health needs is important, as is a successful track record with safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. An understanding of person-centred care and positive behavioural support is also essential. You should be compassionate, resilient, and committed to delivering quality care in an engaging and energetic environment.
Role Overview:
1. Monitoring standards of care delivered by all staff.
2. Supporting the Home Manager with policy implementation and business objectives.
3. Preparing staff rotas to ensure optimal staffing levels.
4. Monitoring residents' wellbeing and ensuring care plans are up to date.
5. Acting as a focal point for residents, families, and healthcare professionals, addressing concerns, and maintaining high standards of care.
Hours: [specify hours] per week, including weekends on a rota, working on the floor and supernumerary days.
Requirements:
* Strong leadership skills with a highly motivated approach.
* Ability to foster a culture of ownership and shared learning.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal skills.
* Substantial experience working with dementia care.
* Valid NMC PIN and RGN / RMN qualification.
