About the role
A specialist education provider seeks a qualified Occupational Therapist to join a multi‑disciplinary clinical team supporting children and young people with autism and complex additional needs.
The position offers a purpose‑built specialist school environment for pupils aged 5‑19, featuring dedicated therapy spaces, sports facilities, outdoor learning areas, and tailored support environments designed to meet a wide range of needs.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of an integrated clinical and education team to support children and young people with a range of needs including autism spectrum conditions, developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental differences and special educational needs.
* Provide clinically informed assessment, intervention, and therapeutic support while collaborating with education and residential care teams to help create positive learning and living environments.
* Deliver therapeutic interventions.
* Provide consultation and guidance to staff teams.
* Run workshops and training sessions.
* Support therapeutic strategies across the wider setting.
* Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
* Qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC.
* Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs.
* Confident in delivering therapeutic interventions.
* Experience working collaboratively around the needs of a child or young person.
* Organised, proactive, and able to use initiative.
* Effective communicator, trainer, and team contributor.
* Committed to improving outcomes for young people.
