About the Role
The Kitchen Assistant supports food preparation and maintains a clean environment to ensure the safe production of meals and beverages, delivering high-quality service to residents.
1. Understand safe food handling principles to uphold hygiene standards.
2. Contribute to team efforts, respond positively to colleagues, and follow work instructions.
3. Assist with the supply and quality of kitchen items, ensuring timely ordering of replacements.
4. Respect residents and their visitors, maintaining dignity and individuality.
About You
We seek a caring, honest, respectful, and accountable individual who embodies our values. The ideal candidate will:
1. Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene standards.
2. Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
3. Be physically capable of sustained effort and responding to a demanding workload.
4. Show initiative, flexibility, and a positive team attitude.
5. Be caring and understanding towards residents.
