About the role
Booker Group are recruiting for a Facilities Assistant to work in our head office in Wellingborough. In this varied and interesting role, you will work within a small and friendly team to support the business. Key duties in this role are the maintenance and repair of the office building and site. As well as post room and picking duties.
This role is a physical role which involves being on your feet most of the day coupled with heavy lifting, so you need to be physically fit with the ability to get stuck into any task required.
Weekly working hours are 38 per week Monday to Friday with half an hour unpaid lunch break each day.
Hours to be confirmed but will be within our open hours of to, flexibility is essential, we are a small team and all shifts must be covered.
Main Responsibilities
8. General building and site maintenance for the office building, gardens and car park
9. Undertaking minor repairs, office moves as required
10. Rubbish collections and vending replenishment
11. Health and Safety checks
12. Support fire testing
13. Picking, Packing and Dispatch of Orders
14. Post collection, distribution & dispatch
15. General gardening
16. Ad hoc duties as required
You will need
17. Good knowledge and experience of DIY
18. Basic knowledge of building maintenance
19. Down to earth and level-headed with a can-do attitude
20. To be flexible in your approach and your working hours with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
21. Great customer service skills
22. Good communication skills
23. Literacy and numeracy skills
24. PC Skills – Spreadsheets, Email, Online forms & training – Full training will be provided
