About the Role
A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing Leicester-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of geotechnical and ground investigation projects across commercial, infrastructure, and development sectors.
The successful candidate will play a key role in both field and office-based activities, supporting projects from initial site investigation through to technical reporting and project delivery. Working within a flexible hybrid environment, this role is ideal for a motivated Geotechnical Engineer looking to further develop their technical expertise and career within a supportive consultancy setting.

Main Responsibilities
Undertake and supervise ground investigation works across a variety of sites.
Coordinate site operations and ensure technical standards are maintained throughout projects.
Log soil and rock samples in accordance with industry standards.
Prepare factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
Assist with geotechnical risk assessments and foundation recommendations.
Support Phase I and Phase II site investigations where required.
Manage subcontractors and site contractors during project delivery.
Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and budgets are achieved.
Maintain accurate project records and technical documentation.
Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Support junior staff and contribute to team development where appropriate.
Requirements
Previous experience within a geotechnical or geoenvironmental consultancy environment.
Understanding of ground investigation techniques and geotechnical assessment practices.
Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of current geotechnical and environmental regulations.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Strong organisational skills and commercial awareness.
