We are currently recruiting for a
Deputy
Home Manager
to support the Home Manager in the overall management and leadership of the care home, ensuring high standards of care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and a safe, person-centred environment for all residents. In the absence of the Home Manager, the Deputy will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home.
About The Role
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership And Management
* Assist the Home Manager in delivering high-quality care and running the home effectively.
* Provide leadership to care staff and other departments (e.g., housekeeping, kitchen).
* Supervise and support staff, ensuring performance and conduct meet expected standards.
* Lead by example and foster a culture of dignity, respect, and compassion.
Care Quality And Compliance
* Ensure that the care provided meets the standards set by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) and other relevant bodies.
* Monitor and maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments, and documentation.
* Participate in audits, inspections, and the implementation of action plans.
* Promote person-centred care, resident involvement, and individualised care planning.
Health And Safety
* Support the Home Manager in ensuring a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
* Oversee medication management in line with policy and regulations.
* Monitor infection control procedures and hygiene standards.
Staff Development And Training
* Contribute to the recruitment, induction, and retention of staff.
* Identify training needs and facilitate learning and development opportunities.
* Conduct supervisions and appraisals for care staff.
Family And Community Engagement
* Build and maintain positive relationships with residents' families.
* Represent the home in a professional manner.

Required Criteria
* Right to live and work in the UK
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior nurse role
* Experience supervising staff
* Strong leadership and communication skills
Desired Criteria
* Experience of working with the relevant Resident group
* Understanding of RQIA standards and regulations in NI
* Experience as a Deputy Manager or Acting Manager
