Deputy Data Protection Officer, WEBRECRUIT
Our client, a faith-based charity dedicated to positively impacting society, is seeking a Deputy Data Protection Officer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm in London.
The Role
As the Deputy Data Protection Officer, you’ll ensure that the client meets obligations under UK GDPR and related legislation. Supporting and deputising for the Data Protection Officer, you will oversee data compliance, promote best practice, and embed a strong culture of privacy and accountability across all the organisation’s activities.
* Act as the first point of contact for data protection queries
* Develop and maintain the client’s privacy governance framework
* Co‑coordinate and review data audits, risk assessments, and DPIAs
* Monitor and review third‑party data sharing and processing arrangements
* Support management of data breaches, complaints, and subject access requests
About You
* Experience in a similar role
* Experience in UK data privacy compliance
* Experience working within a faith-based, non-profit, or charitable organisation
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
* Data protection and/or privacy certification (CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, ISEB, etc.) or willingness to achieve such within a short period of joining
