An established and design-driven architectural practice in Gloucestershire is seeking a talented Architectural Technician to join their growing team. Specialising in hospitality and leisure projects across the South of the UK, this studio has built a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, technically robust, and experience-led environments for a wide range of clients.
With a portfolio spanning boutique hotels, restaurants, bars, leisure facilities, and destination venues, the practice prides itself on combining creativity with technical excellence. Their work is rooted in understanding how people use and enjoy spaces, ensuring every project is both beautifully designed and meticulously detailed.
Joining this collaborative and friendly team, you'll be involved in projects from early concept stages through to detailed technical design and on-site delivery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys contributing to the full lifecycle of hospitality-focused architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality technical drawings and detailed construction packages
Work closely with architects, designers, and external consultants
Support projects through RIBA Stages 3-6
Assist with site coordination, contractor queries, and technical problem-solving
Ensure all work complies with current UK Building Regulations and industry standardsRequirements
Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or related discipline
Experience working on hospitality or leisure projects (essential)
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of construction detailing
Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); other industry software knowledge (beneficial)
Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and planning processes
Previous on-site experience advantageous
Ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple live projects
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetWhat's on Offer
Salary in the region of £35,000 - £42,500 (dependent on experience)
