About The Role
Secondary SEND/ SEMH Teacher - Provision Bude £120 - £150 Per Day
Salary is dependent on experience, training and qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are QTS/ QTLS / Instructor experience within secondary education phase within a school, PRU, AP or designated provision.
The Role
We are seeking a teacher with a strong secondary background, able to confidently deliver at least 2 subjects to GCSE level, ideally one of these will be a core subject. You will be able to draw upon experience working with young people who have experienced challenge and may be harder to reach or require bespoke approaches and adapted teaching strategies. You should have high standards for yourself and your practice.
The school caters to young people between KS1 and 4 who may have experienced trauma, disruption in their lives, had ACEs leading in some cases to SEMH needs, or individuals who, for various reasons, require a different educational offer from mainstream education in order to thrive.
As this is a new and growing provision, strong team working abilities will be needed to support its success; an ability to contribute to the success of the school and its smooth running. Opportunities for promotion may arise as the provision expands.
Vision for Education is recruiting for this role. You may work initially via ourselves or may move directly to a permanent contract. The role is intended to be full-time and substantive.
Requirements
* Qualified teacher or an experienced Tutor / Instructor with experience / ability to teach at least 2 subjects to GCSE level
* Demonstrable experience of supporting and achieving excellent outcomes with learners from diverse backgrounds
* An effective, motivated, and high-standard educator, delivering appropriate challenge
* A calm, positive professional attitude
