Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team at Shwen Shwen. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, ensuring that all food preparation areas are well-organised and hygienic. Duties
* Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and work surfaces
* Clean and organise food preparation and storage areas
* Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and hygienically
* Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and the baking team
* Support the kitchen team during service by assisting with plating and serving when needed
* Receive and store deliveries, ensuring stock rotation and quality checks are carried out
* Adhere to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times
* Follow instructions from the Head Chef and management team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred
* Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
* Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn from experienced chefs
* Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality
