This role is responsible for the active management of the Council's property portfolio, ensuring occupations and uses are authorised and documented, rents and service charges are collected and assets remain fit for purpose. The role will liaise on repairs and maintenance obligations, health and safety compliance.
Responsibilities will include technical and general estate management, landlord and tenant management functions. Supporting Estates Officers with or undertaking negotiation of wayleaves and access licences, handling encroachments, boundary disputes, and small land disposals, as well as responding to ownership and technical queries from the public and Council colleagues.
The role will also support in the reviewing asset performance, identifying opportunities within the property portfolio and supporting the asset management functions.

The Council's Property Service is looking for experienced, results driven property management surveyor, who is RICS qualified and has an understanding of Local Authority or public sector organisations.
The candidate will be joining a team that is working in the corporate centre of the Council supporting in the effective delivery of its priorities. The team is very busy, the Council has an extensive asset portfolio and the role will need to be comfortable with managing competing priorities.
This role will be experienced in Landlord and Tenant, and general estate management, having undertaken rent reviews, managed service charges, and the practical application of managing occupational liabilities of the tenant and asset ownership responsibilities of the Council.
The candidate will be IT literate with knowledge of sector specific software to include GIS mapping and property databases, and shall support the Council in the maintenance of its property information.
