Christian Carer/Support Worker
Elderly gentleman needs male Christian carer to enable him live at home.
* You need to be 18+ to legally provide personal care.
* You must be male gender as a Genuine Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010).
* You need to be a born-again Bible believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (Equality Act 2010) to provide fellowship with the person you will be caring for.
* You need to live within 20 mins travel of Felixstowe IP11 7QR

ROLE
* Supervision & care support of morning showering, shaving, dressing etc.
* Like support for evening undressing, washing etc, & getting into bed.
* Taking morning and evening blood pressure measurements using equipment provided.
* Changing day to night catheter bag. (A simple task: but a careful procedure needs to be followed.)
* Providing Christian companionship through discussion of scriptures, etc.
* Taking the gentleman for local outings via employer's Motability vehicle.
* Escorting the gentleman to medical appointments (e.g. blood tests, dentist, etc.) via employer's vehicle where necessary.
* Assisting with evening meal preparation and clearing up kitchen.
* Undertaking domestic duties: including laundry, vacuuming, cleaning, as required.
* Maintaining a very high level of hygiene at ALL times to prevent spread of infection
SKILLS REQUIRED
* You need to be able to constantly supervise the person you care for.
* You need good verbal communication skills.
* You need good initiative, with ability to anticipate when things need to be done.
* You need to be able to learn and carefully carry out instructions.
* You need to be a patient, gentle, kind and calm individual.
* You need to have good organisation skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
* You need to have a valid full U.K. driver license.
* You need to have some flexibility with the daily times/hours
PAY & HOURS
* Pay: £15/hour.
* Hours: Averaging 30 hours/week, 6 days/week Mon-Sat.
* Times: Mornings, 8:30 - 11:30 approx. Evenings: 19:30 - approx. 21:30
