Overview
Lead Digital Transformation That Underpins National Security. At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. The Senior IT Project Manager will be based at the UK locations with RAF Brize Norton as the main hub, near Carterton, Oxfordshire.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the implementation of structured project management processes to deliver business value from IT projects.
* Develop and manage project plans, assigning tasks, and directing and monitoring daily work across multiple teams.
* Oversee project quality through regular review, ensuring risks, issues, and dependencies are managed proactively.
* Track key milestones and make adjustments to plans or resources to meet customer and business needs.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation in line with Babcock’s IT Project Management standards.
Essential Experience
* Experienced IT professional committed to delivering cost‑effective and efficient project outcomes.
* Demonstrable experience in IT software application project management.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Project (Project Server experience preferred).
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (typically four or five).
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Qualifications
* PRINCE, APM or equivalent project management certification.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
