We're looking for three Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our KierBAM team based in Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

KierBAM is a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and BAM Nuttall, currently delivering an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We're seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a crucial role in managing all contractual and financial aspects of this significant construction project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile development in a secure environment, where your expertise will directly contribute to the successful delivery of vital infrastructure.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the KierBAM team, supporting them in delivering this important Royal Navy redevelopment project. Your day to day will include:
* Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets and financial reports whilst conducting cost planning and control throughout the project lifecycle
* Reviewing and negotiating contracts, subcontracts and variations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
* Managing procurement processes, evaluating supplier bids and preparing interim and final payment applications
* Monitoring project progress, forecasting final costs and identifying potential financial risks
* Collaborating with clients, architects, engineers and contractors whilst mentoring junior team members
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
* You hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil Engineering, with professional accreditation such as RICS or CIOB preferred
* You have at least 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within construction or infrastructure projects, ideally within the nuclear or defence sectors
* You possess strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods and cost control techniques, with proficiency in quantity surveying software
* You have excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse teams
* You're able to meet eligibility criteria including holding a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and having resided in the UK for the past 5 years for security clearance purposes
