CNC Operator
Our client, a leading global manufacturer of precision‑engineered metal components, is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their established machining team in Lincoln.
The Role
You'll operate CNC machinery to produce high‑quality components used across automotive, marine, power generation and other heavy‑engineering sectors. This is a hands‑on role in a busy production environment where accuracy and safety are key.
What You'll Be Doing
Operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Performing tool changes, offsets and basic programme edits
Using measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges
Completing production records accurately
Working safely to manufacturing and quality standards
What We're Looking For
Experience operating CNC machinery in an engineering/manufacturing setting
Confident reading technical drawings
Able to use precision measurement equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude
Experience with heavy/forged metal components (advantageous)
Team player with good attention to detail
Qualifications
NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or CNC Machining (preferred)
Engineering apprenticeship beneficial but not essential
Shift Pattern
You must be comfortable working a rotating shift pattern, including mornings, nights and mixed shifts between these.
