East Suffolk Council - Lowestoft, Suffolk NR33 0EQ or Melton, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP12 1RT £27,711 - £30,060 per annum 37 hours per week Permanent East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work, delivering essential local services and making a real difference to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk. We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Housing Repairs and Maintenance team as a Resident Liaison Officer. Your role Working within the Housing Maintenance team you will work closely with Housing teams to arrange access to properties for a wide variety of purposes. These can include statutory inspections and servicing, essential repairs, improvement works and surveys. Spending a high proportion of your time visiting tenants and engaging with them, removing the barriers which stop our staff and contractors from gaining access to their homes. What you will need You will have previous experience in working in a customer focused role and dealing with the public in difficult situations. The ability to communicate with a wide variety of tenants, at times in demanding circumstances – it is essential that you can remain resilient in these situations. A Level 3 or equivalent qualification is required with this role and good IT skills i.e proficient in Microsoft packages. Why work for us?
