Technical Sales Engineer
We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a leading international construction and engineering organisation offering unique products to the subsidence and Ground Engineering sector, covering the North West of England. The role involves facilitating the delivery of specialist Geotechnical services to clients nationwide within the Residential market. The company specializes in Ground stabilisation and Subsidence solutions.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering background with sales experience and an interest in achieving ambitious market growth. This is a full-time, permanent position suited for an experienced professional who enjoys relationship building, with a drive to push the business forward and become a top salesperson in a thriving market.
Position Overview
1. Act on warm inbound leads generated by the website.
2. Use contacts to generate new leads and sales within the residential sector.
3. Utilize CRM and lead generation software.
4. Pre-qualify inbound leads, arrange site visits, and produce quotes based on client requirements.
5. Follow up to close sales.
6. This role involves providing solutions for clients' problems, building rapport and relationships, rather than hard selling on construction sites.
7. Build relationships with clients and potential clients.
8. Create targeted processes to generate new sales.
9. Work towards securing local authority contracts and large frameworks.
Position Requirements
1. Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline.
2. Good knowledge of the subsidence and ground engineering sector.
3. Sales experience in subsidence or loss adjusting.
4. Knowledge and experience in designing subsidence and substructures.
5. Technical background in buildings, construction, and ground conditions such as stabilization, sinking floors, foundation problems, and void filling on an industrial scale.
6. Experience in face-to-face B2C and B2B sales.
7. Strong business development skills to convert quotes into sales.
8. Ideally located in West London or Bristol.
9. Proactive attitude and willingness to pursue large contracts over time.
Remuneration
1. £45,000 - £47,500 base salary per year, DOE.
2. 5% commission on target achievement, with 2.5% on overachievement.
3. Company car – Tesla (approx. £35 pcm BIK).
