Quantity Surveyor Aberdeenshire Morrison Construction is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to its established Commercial Team, ideally, you will based in or around the Aberdeenshire area, this role will be office based with travel to Site from our office base in Kingseat Newmachar. What you will be doing: You will be capable of managing the day to day running of building projects up to approx. £10M in value. You will be familiar with JCT and NEC3 and other contracts and experience with education and MOD frameworks would be an advantage. Analysis of tender allowances The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts. Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting interim valuations in accordance with those dates. Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions Subcontract and Design Procurement Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations Preparation of cost to complete About You: Professional Qualification eg: HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma/RICS, or moving towards Professional Membership Experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to encourage and support other members of the commercial team You will have experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor, as well as having as sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract Consideration to candidates of an infrastructure / housebuilding background will be considered Having sound Public sector experience is preferrable Experience of two stage open book collaborative approach is desirable Our benefits: We put our people first and our benefits package reflects that by offering a comprehensive range of attractive options to help support your career on top of a competitive salary.
