About Emerald Technology
Emerald Technology is a fast-growing Employer of Record (EOR) and global employment solutions provider, helping companies hire, manage, and pay international talent compliantly and efficiently. We partner with ambitious businesses across technology and professional services to enable seamless global expansion.

As we scale our go-to-market strategy, we are seeking an exceptional (and our first) Head of Marketing to build Emerald Technology's marketing engine from the ground up, owning demand generation, pipeline creation and partner-led growth with direct accountability for revenue outcomes.

It is important to know, Emerald is currently a boot-strapped business owned and ran by Mike Jones and Adam DeSanges. With a background in Executive Search and working with some of the biggest VC and PE firms, Emerald moved into the EOR market around 10 years ago. With zero VC or PE investment, Emerald has grown to a business with nearly £4M ARR and £40M+ in T/O. Own current growth rate is 30% YOY and we do not see this slowing down as the Tech-Enabled market continues to grow at bold pace. The EOR market is currently valued at $5B and expected to be worth $20B by 2035 drive by:

Global remote hiring and workforce mobility — companies want to legally hire employees across countries quickly.
Avoiding entity setup costs and compliance risk — under EOR, we allow companies hire without forming local legal entities.
SME adoption and international expansion — small and mid-sized companies increasingly using EOR to scale globally.
The Role
The Head of Marketing will own Emerald Technology's entire marketing strategy and execution, with full responsibility for pipeline growth, brand positioning, and partner-led marketing. This is a highly commercial, data-driven role for a senior marketer who thrives in B2B services, ideally within HR tech, SaaS, fintech or professional services.

You will build and lead a high-performance marketing function, working closely with Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Leadership to drive qualified demand and revenue at pace.

This is a hands-on, builder role. In the first 12–18 months, you will personally design, launch and optimise our demand engine while selectively hiring and scaling a lean and high-impact team. This is not a purely strategic or brand-led role, we offer full autonomy to our Leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Generation & Revenue Growth:
· Own and deliver Emerald Technology's full demand generation strategy across digital, content, paid media, events, ABM, SEO, and lifecycle marketing.
· Build scalable, predictable lead generation and pipeline acceleration engines aligned to sales targets.
· Own the technology stack, optimising current technology and providers as well as implementing new technologies including AI-powered demand generation tech stack to build the go to market playbook to scale pipeline.
· Implement multi-channel demand campaigns focused on driving pipeline and revenue contribution.
· Optimise conversion rates across the funnel using data, testing and automation.
· Oversee marketing operations, attribution, reporting and ROI measurement.
· Partnership & Alliance Marketing.
· Design and execute a world-class partnership marketing strategy alongside our
Partner and Alliances Marketing:
· Design and execute a world-class partnership marketing strategy alongside our Partner and Alliances team.
· Build joint go-to-market campaigns with technology, payroll, legal, accounting and HR partners.
· Manage co-branded content, webinars, events and referral programmes.
· Drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline growth.
Brand & Content Positioning:
· Own Emerald Technology's brand strategy and messaging in the UK and international markets including writing, approving and ideating the right content across Marketing.
· Ensure consistent positioning across all customer touchpoints.
· Build authority in the EOR, global hiring and distributed workforce space through thought leadership, PR and content.
Leadership & Team Development:
· Build, manage, and develop a high-performing marketing team, contractors and agency partners.
· Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance standards across all marketing functions.
· Champion a culture of accountability, experimentation and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Partner closely with Sales and Partnership leadership on pipeline planning, ICP definition and revenue forecasting.
· Align with Product on go-to-market launches and customer insights.
· Support Customer Success with retention, upsell and advocacy programmes.

Key Success Metrics
· Marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced revenue.
· Cost per lead (CPL) and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
· Lead-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-win conversion rates.
· Partner-sourced pipeline and revenue.
· Brand awareness and category presence.
· Funnel velocity and pipeline coverage.
Essential Skills & Experience
· 8–12+ years' senior B2B marketing experience ideally in EOR, HR tech, SaaS, fintech or professional services.
· Proven track record and experience of building and scaling demand generation in high-growth environments from ground zero. We are looking for a proven demand generation playbook you have personally built and scaled, with clear examples of pipeline and revenue impact to bring to Emerald Technology which can deliver measurable pipeline via leads and revenue.
· Experience in building and executing revenue programs and entablements with Sales.
· Additionally, the individual should be familiar with Demand Waterfall Model & BANT sales methodology, qualification criteria is essential to assess lead quality and readiness for sales engagement.
· Strong experience in partnership and ecosystem marketing.
· Experience in driving multi-tier Account Based Marketing strategies.
· Deep understanding of performance marketing, marketing automation, and CRM systems (ideally HubSpot, LemList).
· Demonstrated experience of current GTM tech and AI to drive outbound.
· Data-driven mindset with deep understanding of funnel metrics, attribution models and ROI analysis.
· Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset with strong revenue ownership.
· Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
· Highly analytical with a test-and-learn approach.
· Experience marketing into mid-market and enterprise customers.
· Sales experience as a BDR or AE desirable but not required.
· UK market knowledge essential; international marketing experience highly desirable.
Nice to Have
· Prior experience in global workforce, payroll, mobility, compliance or international employment.
· Sales experience as a BDR or AE desirable but not required.
· Experience launching or scaling a category-defining brand.
· Exposure to private equity or venture-backed growth environments.
