JOB PURPOSE
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director Cloud Centre of Enablement to help us realise our Cloud Transformation strategy. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly skilled and motivated team with a growth mindset!
As Director Cloud Centre of Enablement you will lead the Cloud Centre of Enablement function within the Cloud Technology team. You will have prime responsibility to drive the migration to Cloud of LG central and operating markets systems. The role will also include the specification of AI specific cloud implementation guidelines and drive cloudification and automation of critical business functions such as FinOps automation.
Your team will be responsible for providing cloud engineering best practice to the organization, owning and developing cloud engineering standards and guidance while developing processes and approaches to simplify the adoption of cloud across the business. Being the core cloud engineering capability within the organization, you will also be responsible for developing and maintaining key product automation pipelines for cloud (e.g. infrastructure as code and cloud on-boarding pipelines).
The COE team will also be a ‘front gate’ when it comes to all cloud related topics, answering queries or re-routing where required.
To achieve this, the Director Cloud Center of Enablement will ensure the definition of the operational and performance framework that would allow the progress’ tracking across main cloud transformation programs and markets’ modernization plans.
The Director Cloud Center of Enablement will support – also using its team – the cloud B2B business solutions including edge cloud, to foster and accelerate new revenue opportunities in adjacencies to existing connectivity focused LG business areas.

Location and travel
This role is based in NL or UK with hybrid working possible. There will be team meetings, meetings with our OpCos and customers in various locations, primarily across LG OpCos footprint (UK, NL, CH, BE, SK and IE)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Provide cloud engineering best practice and assist markets’ projects, develop and own cloud engineering standards for the organization
2. Develop processes and approaches to simplify the adoption of cloud across the business
3. Develop and maintain key product automation pipelines for cloud (e.g. infrastructure as code and cloud on-boarding pipelines)
4. Review OpCos cost spend, identification of optimisation and definition of tools and processes for robust and continuous efficiency
5. Track and follow-up the technical/KPI and commercial cost performance
6. Ensure proper budget follow-up and tracking for the Cloud implementation Liberty Global central team and OpCos
7. Manage central budgets for the cloud business solutions
8. Prepare material for engagement with Senior leadership across LG and OpCos to present plans, gets budget/activities agreed and follow up on progress reports
9. Chair a cross functional COE forum driving cloud adoption and solving common problems; Organize regular summits and events to allow cross-OpCos best practice sharing
10. Provide a ‘front gate’ capability for all cloud related queries
11. Help build a collaborative and transparent culture of continuous improvement, within the team and across domains, while mentoring junior team members
12. Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance and maximizing value from cloud service provider agreements
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential skills & abilities:
13. Extensive experience in building and running a Cloud Centre of Enablement team including Engineering, DevSecOps and FinOps elements
14. Extensive experience and expertise of Cloud Native, DevSecOps patterns and tooling (including IaC)
15. Extensive experience and expertise of running a cloud engineering capability in a shared services model
16. Extensive experience in cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other major cloud service providers
17. Proven technical leadership capabilities, a coaching / collaborative style of working.
18. Extensive proven experience in making things work better with technology and management of cloud technical products and platforms and related services
19. Understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies and ability to analyze and optimize cloud resource usage with experience and expertise analysing the TCO, return on investment and business value of migrating on-premise workloads into public cloud
20. Eye for business – able to connect the technology advantages with the business benefits and opportunities
21. Knowledge of cloud architecture and infrastructure components, including virtualization, networking, storage, and security
22. Experience in migrating on-premises infrastructure and applications to the cloud
23. Good understanding of and experience in digital technology

31. Strong written and oral communication vital to evangelise with internal collaborators and external partners and develop early stage strategic plans
32. Profound in establishing and maintaining the trust and confidence of the business users and partners
33. Organised and professional approach to work with enough flexibility to pivot when change is required
PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
34. Masters in engineering, IT, maths, or related field of study showing strong analytical capabilities
