Their pharmaceutical division is currently delivering a state-of-the-art new build scheme in London. They are seeking an experienced MEP QA Lead to ensure the highest quality standards on this prestigious multi-million-pound project.
Role Overview:
The MEP QA Lead will oversee quality assurance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on a multi-million-pound new build pharmaceutical project in London. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with stringent industry standards, manage QA processes, and collaborate with project teams to deliver a world-class facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement MEP quality assurance plans, ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), ISO 9001, and client specifications.
* Conduct inspections and audits of MEP installations (e.g., HVAC, cleanrooms, electrical systems, process piping) to verify quality and adherence to design specifications.
* Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analyses, and corrective action plans to maintain project quality.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure quality standards are met across all MEP packages.
* Oversee testing and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring performance meets pharmaceutical industry requirements.
* Maintain detailed QA documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and compliance certificates.
* Provide leadership and guidance to site-based QA/QC teams, fostering a culture of quality excellence.
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate QA processes into project schedules and budgets.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum of 7 years’ experience in MEP quality assurance, ideally at least 3 years in pharmaceutical or cleanroom projects.
* Proven track record of leading QA processes on multi-million-pound new build schemes.
* In-depth knowledge of MEP systems (e.g., HVAC, BMS, electrical distribution, process piping) and pharmaceutical industry standards (e.g., GMP, GAMP).
* Familiarity with quality management systems and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, QA software like BIM 360 or Procore).
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders.
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Professional certifications (e.g., CQI, IRCA, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
