Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in West Yorkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet a wide range of needs.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, as well as other needs such as SEMH. We support children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who enjoy 1:1 tutoring in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed setting to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision.
* Work with young people referred by local authorities and schools, providing educational and social-emotional support as needed.
* Deliver flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to support the young person’s learning journey.
* Plan each session of teaching, tutoring, or mentoring and deliver engaging, needs-focused sessions.
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress.
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
* Ability to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies
Employment status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term opportunities as they arise
* Contract for service with PAYE payment
* No set amount of work or expenses coverage
* Company insurance covers work performed
* Not a self-employed position
