About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Project Manager to lead and manage key projects within our cutting-edge materials division. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of projects, including those focused on innovative battery materials, and ensuring their successful delivery from inception to completion. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary research teams to drive forward our strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of advanced materials projects, ensuring that all project objectives are met within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, adhering to methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile. This includes project plans, risk assessments, progress reports, and final project evaluations.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the CTO, Senior Management Team, and research teams, to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals with broader company objectives.
* Process Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide processes and policies that enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
* Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the continuity and success of project activities.
* Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets and resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and utilisation to meet project goals.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement within project management practices, staying updated with the latest methodologies and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally within the advanced materials, battery materials, or broader materials science field.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile, with a track record of successful project delivery.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
* A background in materials science, chemistry, or a related field is desirable.
