Deputy general manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Deputy General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing success of the dual-branded Aloft & Residence Inn by Marriott in Belfast's iconic Titanic Quarter, opening in Q1 2025.


This is a unique opportunity to assist in the launch of two of Marriott's most dynamic brands -Aloft, known for its bold design and social energy, and Residence Inn, crafted for longer stays and residential comfort in one vibrant destination.


Position Summary

As Deputy General Manager, you will plan and direct the safe and efficient daily operation of the hotel and assist with all aspects of the pre-opening, launch, and ongoing operations of this flagship property. The position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiative.


What You Will Do

1. Assist in all pre-opening activities: hiring, training, systems implementation, brand standard alignment, and operational setup.
2. Work in conjunction with the General Manager to develop a strategic plan for the hotel with particular emphasis on operations.
3. Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team with a focus on associate engagement and retention.
4. Ensure all departmental areas are maintained and monitored in line with Marriott standards.
