Looking to speak to any experienced Senior Planners with FMCG experience in the Norfolk area who are available to start in the next couple of weeks.
My client is looking to recruit a Senior Planner, this is a new role for the site. Initially it will be on a 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of it going permanent.
Reporting in the General Manager you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all Planning activities to meet customer expectations and make improvements where necessary.
£50-60k pro rata
Start date ASAP.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
1. Reviewing processes and responsibilities to improve efficiencies in flow maintaining a 95% minimum OTIF requirement
2. Liaise effectively with Production Managers and the Group Purchasing Manager to ensure the smooth and effective running of planning
3. Review requirements for daily, weekly and monthly production output
You will work with the leadership team to ensure all planning objectives are met, including:
4. Assisting in the effective introduction of new products
5. Safeguarding the company’s cost structure
6. Maintaining the correct quality – inventory – value balance
7. To meet required delivery dates to ensure customer deliveries are met
To apply my client is looking for someone with a technical manufacturing background, ideally FMCG. You will have detailed knowledge of production planning and scheduling, inventory control, and materials requirements planning. Experience of MRP systems is essential for this role. As the successful applicant you will have the capacity to communicate and present data clearly and effectively. As well as excellent leadership skills and a desire to work in a team environment. You will have strong IT skills.
