Overview
An exciting opportunity is available within the Children and Young People's Community Nursing Service (CYPCNS), a home care service, to recruit 3 Health Care Support Workers (HCSW). The role supports children and young people with complex health and support needs in their homes and wider community. The post holder will work within a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Nurse Team Leader.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support families to meet children's exceptional health needs.
* Work as part of a team supporting children and young people with complex health and support needs.
* Deliver care following a competency‑based training programme, including a robust induction and continuing training.
* Support families and coordinate with partners across health, social care, third sector and education.
Qualifications
* Experience working with children and young people.
* Experience with exceptional health needs is advantageous.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider multi‑disciplinary team.
* Will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
