Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £ 30,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week
Our head offices based in the beautiful village of Hook Norton near Banbury. Here you will find our teams of finance, HR, purchasing, marketing & creative that support all of our locations across the Thomas Franks family. There is ample parking space available when visiting.
Role
As a key member of the Sales Team and working closely with the Creative Team, you will support with writing a wide range of content for catering tenders, proposals and introductory documents. This will involve communicating with other Thomas Franks departments and teams to gather information for content and sourcing ideas for new content where appropriate.
The role will also include proofreading content for submission and written material for other departments across the company during quieter periods.
Main responsibilities
* Writing a wide and varied range of new content for catering tenders
* Proofreading all sales documentation, marketing, ESG, nutrition, location and other printed material when required
* Working across multiple documents and projects at any given time
* Understanding and communicating the Thomas Franks tone, ethos, values and USPs through sales proposals and documents
* Reviewing and updating current/previous content
* Rewriting and editing content provided by other departments and team members
* Proofreading sales documents for submission
* Using InDesign, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint daily
* Communicating well and prioritising tasks as part of the bid production team to meet tight deadlines (both internal and external)
Experience
* Proven experience producing clean, persuasive copy in a similar field or role i.e. bid writing, copywriting, publishing
* Proven experience proofreading professional documents to a similar level
* Good level of experience using Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint in particular)
* Previous experience using Adobe packages and InDesign preferred
* Previous basic design experience a bonus
Key skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail essential
* Ability to work well within a team
* High degree of organisational skills, especially time management
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Comfortable prioritising workloads correctly and organising your time independently
* Some knowledge of the catering/hospitality industry would be a bonus
* Interest in food a plus!
Qualifications
* Degree-level English Language, Creative Writing Qualification or equivalent desirable
