Welsh National Theatre (WNT) in partnership with BBC Studios are recruiting a Lead Culture Scout for the Welsh Net. WNT is the youngest theatre in Wales, founded in January 2025. WNT is committed to showcasing Welsh talent in the creation of ambitious plays that resonate in Wales and across the world. This is a new opportunity to spearhead the Welsh Net, a pioneering scheme from Welsh National Theatre. In partnership with BBC Studios, we are looking for someone who shares our commitment and values to open the sector to talent from all parts of Wales, with the experience to lay the foundations for a Welsh Net that can be up and running this year and continue to thrive and scale long into the future.

Responsibilities
* Shape the future of the Welsh Net and ensure the voices of Wales shine on local, national, and international stages.
* Build the foundations of the Welsh Net and a network of culture scouts across Wales.
* Develop pathways that connect talent to opportunities and critical next steps in their development.
* Work closely with WNT’s leadership team to establish structure for talent finding and nurturing across Wales.
Qualifications / Person Specification
* A passion for the Welsh cultural sector, including TV, film, and theatre.
* A deep understanding of the Welsh theatre landscape, including Welsh institutions and organisations across national, community, and regional sectors.
* Adequate track record in building strong relationships across Wales to connect talent to opportunities.
