The University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint an Estates Property Surveyor.

The Estates Property Surveyor will act as the University’s lead professional for all property matters across the full land and property portfolio. Reporting to the Associate Director - Property & Space, the postholder will manage and optimise the University’s freehold and leasehold interests, ensuring alignment with academic, operational and financial objectives. This leadership responsibility spans the full spectrum of general practice surveying, including acquisitions, disposals, rent reviews, lease renewals, licences, business rates and the negotiation and stewardship of landlord–tenant relationships.
A key responsibility will be to maintain and develop the University’s Estates Terrier, ensuring that property interests are proactively managed, documented and optimised. The postholder will also prepare high‑quality reports for senior governance committees and executive groups, ensuring informed and compliant decision‑making on property‑related matters.
We are seeking an individual with substantial experience in property and asset management, ideally in a London context, supported by a recognised professional qualification (preferably MRICS). You will bring strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and the confidence to represent the University at all levels, building trusted relationships across a wide stakeholder network. Experience with Terrier systems, lease transactions, planning processes or listed buildings would be highly advantageous.
