Project Manager - Long Standing Customer & Annuities

We have an exciting opportunity for a focused Project Manager to join our Technology and Change team working with our Bulk Purchase Annuities team. Within this role, you will plan and manage various aspects of the programme delivery to support Royal London’s Bulk Purchase Annuities business. A background in financial services, Pensions, or payments systems would be highly beneficial, but is not essential.
About the role
* Provide leadership to the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, responsibilities, and milestones.
* Ensure stakeholders are engaged appropriately at all levels of the organisation.
* Create and manage a plan of activity to ensure successful project deliverables.
* Understand and manage dependencies.
* Define and agree on the required level of project resources for successful delivery.
* Manage risks and issues, understanding the wider risk context, and escalate when appropriate.
* Build collaborative relationships with third parties to manage project outcomes.
* Implement governance aligned with Group methods.
About you
* Proven experience delivering projects within a matrix organisation.
* Experience in project management for both business and technical changes.
* Knowledge of Agile delivery practices.
* Understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle.
* Ability to solve and unblock issues within teams or departments.
* Skills to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
* Proactivity and strategic thinking regarding project costs and benefits.
* Interpersonal skills to influence, facilitate, and enhance team performance.
* Experience leading project teams, fostering trust, confidence, and collaboration.
