Lecturer in Construction – Broxbourne Campus – Permanent – Full Time
Salary: £28,555 to £40,092 per annum, including Market Supplement, dependent on experience and qualifications
As a Lecturer in Construction, you will deliver the full range of professional services associated with programmes of teaching, learning, and assessment, across various courses and student support, including T-Level delivery within Construction.
Starting September 2023, Hertford Regional College will begin delivering new T-Level Qualifications, developed in collaboration with employers and education providers to ensure industry relevance and prepare students for skilled employment, apprenticeships, or further/higher education.
T-Levels provide students with practical and knowledge-based learning at college, complemented by on-the-job experience through an industry placement of at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days).
Hertford Regional College seeks a highly motivated individual to coordinate and deliver our T-Level programme in Construction. The successful candidate will receive support from the AOC and ETF to develop T-Level curriculum and delivery, working with our team of placement coordinators to ensure high-quality industry placements. Ideally, candidates will have experience in:
* Supporting or leading a T-Levels curriculum
* Working with employers and young people
* Delivering training
* Built environment and industry practices
* Sustainability and renewable practices (Green Skills)
* Site management practices
We are also looking for candidates with experience or willingness to upskill in:
* Science and Building Technology
* Surveying and design for construction and the built environment
* Civil Engineering
* Hazardous materials analysis and surveying
This role is ideal for an experienced FE teacher or industry specialist interested in transitioning into FE teaching. We support industry experience and provide pathways to become fully qualified teachers and industry upskilling.
