Morson Technical Services are currently seeking an Aircraft Wildcat Base Maintenance Supervisor to be based at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis.
ABOUT
Our Wildcat Base Maintenance team carries out 300 hourly zonal maintenance checks on a fleet of 62 Army and Navy Wildcat Helicopters. Over a 17-week cycle, teams strip, clean, inspect, and rectify aircraft to return them to front-line squadrons. Our qualified engineers perform fault finding, component replacement, and ground running of aircraft prior to deployment.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
* Hold authorizations to the minimum level required by WMS, including second signature within own trade group as detailed in OP 1103 and IAW individual Record of Engineering Authorisations (REA).
* Maintain technical currency and authorization through ongoing training and reading disseminated information.
* Perform aircraft maintenance within your trade, as directed by controllers and in accordance with published procedures and instructions.
* Complete GOLDesp procedures in line with Wildcat Maintenance Support WMS OP 408 and JAP(D) 100A series.
* Observe authorized tool control procedures (WMS OP 502) during maintenance and bay work.
* Supervise Technicians and Apprentices.
* Operate and maintain AGE and Hangar facilities as directed.
* Prepare aircraft for road or air transportation if required.
* Participate in exercise detachments and aircraft recovery operations as needed.
* Conduct independent inspections where authorized, following MAM-P and individual REA.
* Perform any other aircraft or support-related tasks as directed by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
* Completed an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent military trade training.
* Meet criteria specified in WMS OP 1103 para 6.2 & Figure 1.
* Thorough knowledge of UK Military Aircraft documentation procedures.
* Current and competent in using GOLDesp.
PACKAGE/BENEFITS
* Starting salary £40,184.43, increasing to £41,389.96 after six months.
* Potential banding allowance of £1,000 per year for additional authorizations.
* Discretionary bonus based on team KPIs, approximately £155 per quarter / £620 annually.
* Holiday entitlement of 5 weeks (25 days), increasing to 26 days after 5 years, plus bank holidays.
