Responsibilities
* Participate in the Physiotherapy rotational scheme, working across Torbay and South Devon Healthcare Trust sites in a range of ward settings, outpatient departments, intermediate care settings, patients' own homes and community.
* Provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to general musculoskeletal out‑patients, inpatient and outpatient trauma and orthopaedics, medical and surgical, neurology, elderly and intermediate care as well as community rehabilitation and specialist rehabilitation services.
* Deputise for more senior staff in their absence, taking responsibility for allocating and organising the work of physiotherapy assistant staff to meet priorities on a daily basis.
* Perform daily interventions with clients in various settings, including assessment, intervention and discharge planning, working alongside therapy colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.
* Use Trust IT systems for recording data and interventions.
* Maintain and uphold professional standards of physiotherapy practice within the Trust and HCPC guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in physiotherapy.
* State registration – current HCPC certificate.
* A clean and valid UK full driving licence (required for covering rotations both within acute and community settings).
* Practical physiotherapy experience in the core clinical areas within an NHS setting, either as a third‑year student on placement or as an experienced Physiotherapist or Physiotherapy Technician.
* Ability to work unsupervised, delegate appropriately, and demonstrate initiative and competence in information gathering, assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.

* Core skills in communication, health and safety, risk assessment, personal and people management, service development, engagement in peer review and achievement reviews, responsibility for health and wellbeing, quality and professional practice.
