Senior Social Worker – Locality Safeguarding

The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Localities Safeguarding team. This role requires an experienced practitioner to act as a key worker for a complex statutory caseload, encompassing Children in Need, Child Protection, and Children Looked After.
Using the Signs of Safety model, you will provide child-focused interventions that prioritize the safety and long-term wellbeing of young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out assessments, planning, and reviews for children subject to Child Protection plans and those in care.
* Work restoratively with families to develop effective relationships and help them make informed decisions.
* Analyze complex information to support the ongoing needs of children and their carers.
* Ensure the child’s voice is central to all interventions through direct work and high-level communication.
* Collaborate with partner agencies to maintain a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to safeguarding.
* Maintain accurate digital records to ensure efficient service delivery to all stakeholders.
* Negotiate and plan a range of services and interventions within delegated responsibility levels.
Requirements
* Significant experience in a statutory safeguarding setting.
* Proficiency in the Signs of Safety framework and restorative practice.
* Advanced skills in empathy, negotiation, and multidisciplinary working.
* Active Social Work England registration and a recognized social work qualification.
