Responsibilities
* Collect blood samples directly from patients by venepuncture
* Accurately identify patients and label samples
* Perform duties in various locations, e.g., out‑patient departments, wards, and general practice
* Enter data into the computer system
* Maintain records of activities carried out
* Work in the hospital ward environment with patients who may be severely debilitated
* Communicate with all patients of varying needs
* Adhere strictly to established protocols and trust policies
* Maintain and promote a professional image of ESNEFT
Qualifications
Full training will be provided; no prior phlebotomy experience is required. You must have good communication skills to engage with patients of varying needs and possess basic IT skills to navigate patient databases and record samples.
Schedule and Hours
Part‑time posts available. Work a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekdays, weekends, bank holidays (including Christmas), on a rota basis, and cover short‑notice absences. Shift hours range between 07:30 and 18:00.
