Your role will involve providing comprehensive administrative support across specialist clinical areas, ensuring high‑quality patient care and efficient administrative processes.
Responsibilities
* Provide a comprehensive administrative service within the Oncology team.
* Coordinate and streamline administrative processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
* Ensure a high standard of service with tact, discretion, and sensitivity, promoting UHS Trust values.
* Deliver excellent customer service to colleagues, patients, relatives/carers, and external agencies.
Essential Criteria
* Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GCSE level.
* Level 3 qualification in administration/customer service or equivalent experience.
* Level 2 qualification in administration/customer service or equivalent experience and experience as an administrator or secretary in a customer‑focused environment.
* Experience making judgments to solve non‑routine problems and enquiries.
* RSA 2 word‑processing/typing or equivalent; RSA 3 optional.
* Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
* Administrative and organisational experience.
* Knowledge and experience of secretarial or administrative procedures.
Desirable Criteria
* Further study or courses demonstrating personal development.
* Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience.
* RSA 3 certification.
* Proficient use of hospital computerised patient systems.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
