If so, we are seeking a talented individual to become an integral part of our team, bringing your expertise and resources to the creation of stunning interior and exterior spaces in and around Yorkshire and beyond.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Meticulously preparing surfaces for decoration, including thorough cleaning, expert repair of imperfections, and careful removal of previous finishes, ensuring a flawless foundation for exceptional results.
* Expertly mixing, matching, and applying premium paints, exquisite wallpapers, and specialised finishes to a variety of surfaces, demonstrating a keen understanding of colour theory and application techniques to achieve the highest standards.
* Executing decorative painting techniques, applying intricate wallpaper designs, and creating bespoke faux finishes as required by the unique demands of each project.
* Organising and executing meticulous planning and preparation, ensuring an efficient and tidy workspace throughout the project lifecycle.
* Protecting surrounding areas with appropriate coverings to prevent any disruption or mess.
* Safely moving furniture and equipment to ensure complete access to all surfaces.
* Accurately calculating material quantities and project timescales, effectively communicating these details to the design team to ensure seamless project execution.
* Carefully removing and refitting fixtures such as door knobs and light switch covers.
* Precisely taping off areas to achieve clean and professional lines.
* Responsibly selecting and procuring high-quality paints, brushes, and other necessary supplies through Marsh & Co. accounts.
* Liaising with the design team to provide accurate cost estimations and contribute to successful client negotiations.
* Ensuring thorough clean-up of all kit and the replacement of fixtures upon project completion.
* Maintaining clear and professional communication with clients to understand their vision and ensure their complete satisfaction with the final outcome.
* Installing curtain poles and meticulously hanging and dressing curtains with tie-backs, demonstrating a strong understanding of design principles and attention to detail.
Desirable (Not Essential):
* A diverse range of DIY skills, including joinery and basic electrical work, to facilitate comprehensive project completion within clients' homes or businesses.
* Ideally you own and maintain a reliable van suitable for transporting kit and materials to various project locations - company van provided for the right candidate
* Must possess a comprehensive set of professional decorating tools necessary to perform all aspects of the role to an exceptionally high standard.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
